Stampin’ Up! Floral Frame Anniversary

Good Friday Morning! It is cloudy and supposed to drizzle today, but after a GORGEOUS fall day yesterday, who can complain?

Perhaps this anniversary card will chase away any blues you may have! I elected to use some Frosted Floral DSP and chose colors from that paper for my card…Mint Macaron, Petal Pink and Merry Merlot, with a bit of Gray Granite for good measure.

My card base is Merry Merlot with a Petal Pink mat that was dry embossed with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing folder and adhered to the base with Liquid Glue. Over this is a panel of the Frosted Floral  Designer Series Paper, which, as the name implies, has a frosty sheen to it. Lovely Paper, and though it is in the Holiday Catalog, it can be used in any season and for any occasion. Liquid Glue adhered it to the Petal Pink mat.

My sentiment, from Beautiful Bouquet, is stamped in Merry Merlot on Gray Granite and cut with a frame from the Floral Frames Framelit. HINT: by purchasing the Floral Frames stamp set and framelits together in a bundle, you save 10%. If you order as a demonstrator, you get another 20% off. Just sayin’.

I cut a second frame from Merry Merlot card stock, then used my trimmer to cut it in half lengthwise, allowing me to make a nice mat for the sentiment piece.

A few leaves cut from Petal Pink, Mint Macaron and Vellum are cut with the dies from Floral Frames. These were attached to the DSP with Liquid Glue. A couple of them were glued directly onto the sentiment piece, which was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Before attaching this to the card front though, I wound some Silver Metallic Thread around, just to give it some glitz. I think the silver thread and the Frosted Floral paper is just the right amount of glitz.

For the inside, the Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder gives some dimension to the Mint Macaron mat, Liquid Glued into the card base. Petal Pink serves as the background for the sentiment, with a strip of the Frosted Floral DSP along the side to dress it up a bit. The sentiment is from Better Together stamp set and is in Merry Merlot.

The envelope sports more of the DSP on the flap, with a small flower and leaves in Merry Merlot and Mint Macaron on the front. These are from the Floral Frames stamp set.

This card was quick and easy to make, with the Frosted Floral as the centerpiece. if putting colors together isn’t your thing, Stampin’ Up! makes it easy for you. Just use the ones in the Designer Series Paper you have chosen.
