No card, just information you NEED

Good Friday morning! It is pretty cold here this morning, my thermometer registered -9 degrees F at 7 a.m., which is usually the coldest time of day, right before sunrise. However, sometimes that is not the case. Today though that seems to be it, it has warmed up to -8! Whoopee! We are in a wind chill advisory until noon, but there isn’t much wind.

Yesterday was a different story, winds to 35 mph drifted the 8″ of snow we had the day before, so all my paths to the bird feeders got filled back up. Guess what I should be doing right now??

The information you need is this: Stampin’ Up! has announced that there are a couple of items that will soon reach un-orderable status, so if you want these, better hop on it.

Stampin’ Up! had this to say:

ITEMS APPROACHING NOT-ORDERABLE STATUS

Sales for the following product have exceeded our forecast and are continuing strong, resulting in a significant number of backorders. Due to Chinese New Year and port congestion delays, estimated arrival is mid-March.

Butterfly Duet Punch (item 148523)

This product will remain available until Friday, January 25 at 10:00 AM (MT); it will then be placed in not-orderable status.

Sales for the following item have exceeded our forecast. Although not currently on backorder, we expect to deplete our inventory of this product within the next two weeks; it will no longer be orderable as soon as inventory is depleted.

Cake Builder Punch (item 148525)

Due to Chinese New Year and port congestion delays, estimated arrival is mid-March.

When you enter item numbers for either of these products on an order, you will receive a pop-up notification asking if you would like to be notified via email when they are back in stock. This will allow you to find out immediately when the status changes for these items and they are again available for purchase.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Important note: Both of these amazing punches will carry over into the 2019–2020 annual catalog.

ORGANDY RIBBON COMBO PACK SOLD OUT

The Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack (item 149623) may be one of our most popular Sale-A-Bration items ever. It’s been so popular, in fact, that it has exceeded our product forecast and sold out in our North American markets. We have a shipment coming in to fulfill backorders, but because this item has been in such high demand, we have been forced to turn off the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack. Unfortunately, this initial shipment will help us fulfill only orders that have already been placed. Once backorders have been fulfilled, a second shipment will arrive at the beginning of March, which will allow us to turn on this item again; it will be available while supplies last only.

We’re so sorry for the inconvenience.

So, just to let you know, you only have about 2-1/2 hours to get your orders in.

I have no card to post because I was in such a hurry to mail out 6 this week, that I forgot to take photos of any of them! OOPS! So, now I have to get to making the 8 more that I need. I will get images of them and do a post soon.

Thanks for stopping by.

Stampin’ Up! Wonderful Romance for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Blog hop header

Good Thursday to you all. I have been absent for a couple of weeks. My goodness, how does one get so busy?? For me, it is pretty easy. Either I don’t move very fast, or I take on more than I probably should. The jury is out as to which is the true reason. Anyway, I am here today to share with you blog hoppers a card made with the lovely, lovely stamp and die bundle, Wonderful Romance. I have been wanting to use this set for some time and have lots of ideas, only one of which I will share with you today.

Our challenge for today’s hop is color, specifically Fresh Fig, Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink. I like working with these colors, so we should end up with a smashing card! Also, we have a great group of talented ladies on this hop, so, please join us.

Here are our colors: This is the card I created using these colors. I had a hard time deciding which color to use as my card base, but I think this is the best way to go. I used a Mossy Meadow card base and cut the front with the Wonderful Romance edgelit in the bundle. I had seen many cards using this lovely die and wanted to use it in my card. Most of the ones I saw used it straight up, but Linda Bedinger put hers on the diagonal, which I copied here.

4

I simply cut my card base, laid the die on the front so the lower two leaves were very near the edge and both top and bottom seemed to be centered vertically. Behind it I used Tear & Tape to adhere a panel of the Floral Romance Designer Series Paper to a same-size panel of Whisper White. The first strip of the tape is along the diagonal, which I simply measured at top and bottom from the edge to determine the placement. Another strip of tape along the edge near the fold secures the gorgeous vellum to the Whisper White. I then used more Tear & Tape to adhere this panel to the back of the front of the card.

The floral piece was stamped in Stazon Ink on Whisper White and colored with my Stampin’ Write Markers, Petal Pink, Fresh Fig, Soft Sea Foam and Mossy Meadow, and cut with the corresponding die in the bundle. Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere this to the front.

1

I also cut some smaller leaves and a berry spray from Mossy Meadow and Fresh Fig. These emboss nicely and add more dimension to the card front.

The sentiment from Humming Along was stamped in Petal Pink on Whisper White and cut with the Everyday Label Punch. I used the Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker to make little stitch marks around the edge, just to dress it up a bit. Adhesion of this piece was also with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Liquid Glue was used to attach the extra leaves and berrys under the floral focal and over the sentiment label.

On the inside, a mat of Fresh Fig sets off the Petal Pink liner, to which attached the 1/4″ strip of Designer Series Paper that I had cut from the front panel with another piece of Tear & Tape. This paper is just to pretty to throw away even a small strip. The sentiment here was stamped in Fresh Fig and is found in the Special Celebrations stamp set. All layers are adhered with Liquid Glue.

5

The envelope flap got more of the DSP, while the large leaf stamp in Wonderful Romance was stamped a couple of times on the front of the envelope in Mossy Meadow.

If you don’t have this stamp and die bundle, you might want to add it to your wish list. There are SO many possibilities here. I will definitely be using this one often. The sentiments in the set are in a lovely font, but there is not one for a birthday. This would be great for a sympathy, get well, thinking of you, Congratulations, or just about any occasion you can think of.

Stampin’ Up! Meant to Be for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

I hope you are all having a Terrific Tuesday as we head into the second week of the new year. And, before we can blink, we will be looking at the end of this same year. My, how time does fly!

Today’s team blog hop theme is ‘Love’, which we can interpret any way we choose. I have chosen the bundle that is all about love in the new Occasions catalog, “Meant to Be“, and have paired that with elements from “Beautiful Promenade“. If you are into romance, these sets are sure to be on your wish list.

For my card base, I have chosen the new red color, Lovely Lipstick, which I think is  perfect for this card.

4

Next, I stamped (in Lovely Lipstick), hearts from the Meant to Be set all over a panel of Lovely Lipstick card stock. I first stamped off each heart on scrap paper so the image would be very light, then stamped the second, lighter image on my card front. Repeating this technique, I stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Promenade in each heart, and filled in blank spots with it as well.

Next up, I ran the card front through my Big Shot in the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

1

For the focal image, I rubbed my embossing Buddy over a panel of Lovely Lipstick, stamped the sentiment from Meant to Be in Versamark ink, and heat embossed it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then ran this through the Big Shot in the Lace Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder. Using the coordinating Framelits in the bundle, I cut this out using the ruffled edge large heart and used only the center heart. I then cut a second heart in Whisper White and layered the Lovely Lipstick embossed heart over this, allowing the white ‘ruffle’ to show. Liquid Glue adhered these together and Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to attach this to the card front.

I used the Detailed Trio corner punch to round the corners of the card. Then, I thought it looked a little plain, so I added 3 Pearls Basic Jewels on the embossed heart.

4

For the inside, I used the long, scalloped edge framelit to cut the edges of my Whisper White panel to coordinate with the ruffled heart on the front. On this, I stamped the sentiment from Meant to Be in Lovely Lipstick. This panel was adhered into the card base with Liquid Glue. Card done.

5

The envelope received 3 of the smaller hearts, as on the front of the card, on the flap, and one on the front. I messed up 3 envelopes before I got smart and used my Stamparatus to stamp the envelope. Call me slow to learn!

Stampin’ Up! Thank You for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy New Year to all of you who follow this blog!! For some of us, we look forward to a better 2019. For others, 2018 was a good year and the hope is for an equally good, or better, 2019.

I don’t make resolutions, but I do hope to do a better job of making and sending more cards, because I think it is VERY appreciated by the recipients. We have become so commercialized and accumulating of STUFF, that we tend to forget the simple pleasures of making and giving of ourselves. That said, ON WITH THE HOP!

Today we have a sketch challenge, and I, having many thank you cards to send, chose to use that design for special thanks.

I haven’t done an outside challenge for awhile, but my card fits the Sunday Stamps Challenge this week, so I have entered this challenge also.sunday stamps 195

On with the HOP! Here is my card using the above challenges.

4

My card base is Early Espresso. To that I have added a mat of Calypso Coral, which I textured with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder. Over this is a panel of Crumb Cake, which is stamped with the new Crackle Paint background stamp (found on page 44 of the Occasions catalog) in Crumb Cake. I like this look!

My sentiment is from All things Thanks and is stamped in Early Espresso on So Saffron. There are more words to this sentiment, but I blocked them off with a piece of tape, inked the part I wanted, removed the tape and stamped. This was cut using the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

1

The leaf is from Falling for Leaves (which retired yesterday from the Holiday catalog) and was stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla card stock, then colored with my Stampin’ Blends in Dark Calypso Coral, Dark Crumb Cake and Light Daffodil Delight. I fussy cut this with my Paper Snips Scissors. Liquid Glue adhered this to the sentiment oval.

A length of Burlap Ribbon was adhered with strips of Tear & Tape. Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere the sentiment over the ribbon. Card front done.

Inside the card I layered Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral and So Saffron using Liquid Glue. Early Espresso ink was used to stamp the sentiment from Falling for Leaves. The little flower stems, or are they leaves?, are stamped also in Early Espresso and come from Falling for Leaves as well. 5

My sister gave me an extra special gift for Christmas (which will be the subject of a future blog) and this card is for her. I am so grateful for my family.

The Very Vanilla medium envelope flap got the Crackle Paint treatment in Early Espresso. A couple of the same flowers as on the inside decorate the front.

Now, on with the hop. Just click the ‘next’ button to go to the very talented Amy’s blog, or click on any name to go directly to that blog.
