Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Encouragement

Fantastic Friday to all of you in Cyberland. Everybody loves Friday don’t they? My card for today is to encourage the recipient who is having it tough right now. Merry wishes didn’t seem right, but you can still wish someone Joy in the hard times. Anyway, they will know I care.

I am playing along with a challenge from Archi-Scraps. Their theme is Winter, so I am using the Winter Woods stamp set.

My Whisper White card front was stamped with full strength Early Espresso trees from the Winter Woods Bundle. I used the Stamparatus to line them up and do a repeat. This panel was then dry embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

A second piece of Whisper White was embossed with just the lower part of the snow, the heavy layer. This was cut with the curved die from the Winter Woods Bundle. I cut two piceces, then layered them together to represent snowbanks. The third snowbank at the right side of the card was a small piece cut from the second piece and glued behind it.

This layered panel was adhered to a Merry Merlot mat with Liquid Glue.  The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped on Whisper White in Merry Merlot. This was punched with the Pretty Label punch. A second Pretty Label was punched from Early Espresso, cut in half horizontally and attached to the back of the sentiment label with Liquid Glue. Stampin’ Dimensionals adhered it to the card front.

Using the 2 smaller snowflakes in the  Seasonal Layers Thinlits, I cut 2 smaller and 1 larger from Whisper White, then painted them with Frost White Shimmer Paint. They were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Liquid Glue where appropriate. Santa’s Workshop Enamel Shapes were added to the snowflake centers and directly to the card front and sentiment.

On the inside, more of the Winter Woods bare trees in 2nd generation Early Espresso cover the lower portion of the liner, and a full strength sentiment from Merry Christmas To All in Merry Merlot finishes the liner. This is adhered to a Merry Merlot mat and into the Early Espresso card base with Liquid Glue.

For the envelope, more trees grace the flap and a single tree adorns the front. Can’t have any naked envelopes you know. I considered dry embossing with the Softly Falling TIEF, but opted to stamp instead.
