Today’s post was going to be a Christmas card. ‘Was’ being the operative word. I had made this birthday card using some non-Stampin’ Up! products, so thought it best to blog using all Stampin’ Up! Well, it seems my heat tool has disappeared. Completely! It sits on its own shelf near an outlet and never gets moved to anyplace else. BUT IT ISN’T THERE!! Neither is it to be found anywhere. Needless to say, the embossing I wanted to do on the Christmas card will have to wait. So, you get a birthday card instead.
I started with a Whisper White card base to which I adhered a mat of Powder Pink.
The Perfect Plum die cut uses a die from another company. This is mounted to a panel of Powder Pink that was die cut using the frame of the detailed die. Then, the Powder Pink panel was adhered to another panel of Perfect Plum. I don’t know if you can see it but I spritzed the whole front with Shimmer, which adds just enough (in my opinion) glimmer and sparkle.
A length of Powder Pink Shimmer ribbon was wrapped around and taped to the back. A faux bow was attached with a Glue Dot. This panel was then adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The inside sentiment is from Better Together, stamped in Perfect Plum on a liner of Whisper White. Butterflies from the You Move Me stamp set were stamped in Powder Pink and Perfect Plum around the sentiment. I added the tracks with my Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.
The Medium Whisper White envelope has more of the two colors of butterflies, both on the front and on the flap. This was a pretty quick and easy card to make. I hope you enjoy.
