Stampin’ Up! Prized Peony Birthday

Good Thursday everyone. I have been absent from the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop for awhile, but thought it time to get back in the swing of things. I hope you enjoy my card, made with the ultra-lovely Prized Peony bundle. Today we are working from a sketch.

Image may contain: text that says 'Happy Inkin Thursday Blog Hop September 3 Sketch Challenge'

This is a simple sketch, and I took a few liberties with it. Here is my card.

I began with my card base in Petal Pink card stock, to which I adhered a panel of Peony Garden Designer Series Paper that I had embossed with the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder. This panel was originally cut to 3 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. After trimming with the border die in the Prized Peony Bundle it was the perfect size for the sketch.

The sentiment from Beautiful Autumn is stamped in Gray Granite on Whisper White card stock. I cut it out using the stitched rectangle die in the Ornate Layers dies.

The beautiful peony in the Prized Peony stamp set was stamped in Gray Granite on Whisper White, colored with Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Markers, then cut with the matching die from the bundle. To get the placement I wanted, the stem covered up part of the sentiment, so I used Liquid Glue to adhere the sentiment to the stem and Stampin’ Dimensionals attached the whole thing to the card front. A few Pearls Basic Jewels complete the front.

For the inside, I stamped the lovely peony in stamped off once Gray Granite on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ liner of Whisper White card stock. This was adhered to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Gray Granite, and the whole Liquid Glued into the card base. I did not add a sentiment as this card requires a hand written message.

You may look in the annual catalog at the Peony Garden Suite and see that the Designer Series Paper appears to have crumb cake as one of the colors, thus wondering why I am using Gray Granite. Due to the vagaries of printing, colors are not always what they appear to be. In this case, the brownish look is actually Gray Granite. Either way, it is lovely!

This finished the card, but the envelope needs dressing up. We can’t have a naked envelope! I stamped another of the lovely large peony on the front and added a piece of the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper to the flap. The peony was colored the same as the one on the front of the card.

I hope you enjoy my card. If you choose to make one similar, the product list is below the names of the hoppers.

Stampin’ Up! Very Vintage

Good Saturday, Everyone! I hope you are on your way to a great weekend.

Today my card fits the Color Throwdown Challenge #515

color Throwdown 515

I am using Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Whisper white and Old Olive today. The first order of business was to rip apart a piece of White copy paper and wad it up. I had 2 pieces, one for the card and one for the envelope. After crunching it up I spread it out as flat as it would go and stamped the Sheet Music stamp on the pieces in Soft Suede. I used the Stamparatus to do this, so if I didn’t get a good stamping the first time I would be able to repeat it. Of course, I needed to repeat it.

4

When I had a good enough image (I wanted it to look distressed and old) I tore it to fit the card, then sponged all over it with Soft Suede ink. I started with a very light hand, then added more as I thought it needed it. There is a little bit of Early Espresso sponged on here and there as well. Some of the edges got curled up a bit, also adding to the aged look.

My Thick Whisper White card base has an Olive Green mat adhered to it with Liquid Glue.

Next, my base panel of Crumb Cake was stamped all over with Versamark in in the pattern of the Very Vintage flowers. More sponging with Soft Suede around the edges  add to the aged look. I did not re-ink to sponge this panel. To this I adhered the music with Liquid glue.

4

Across the bottom of the panel I added a bit of old cotton crocheted lace and taped it on the back. Some Linen Thread was wound around a couple of times and tied in a bow. To make sure the bow stayed in place, I put a Glue Dot under it.

Another piece of Crumb Cake was the basis for my focal point…the flowers again from Very Vintage, this time embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I then cut it out with one of the Layering Ovals Framelits. Again, Soft Suede sponged all over, and darker at the edges. I then used a tissue to wipe the color off the flowers. Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere this to the card front.

1

For the sentiment, I chose to stamp it on Old Olive in Soft Suede, using the square and sentiment from Very Vintage. I do not have the Darling Label punch, so I used my trimmer to cut it to size, then fussy cut the corners with my Paper Snips Scissors. More sponging with Soft Suede ages this piece as well. Stampin’ dimensionals on 3 corners adhere this in place over the oval. This card front was then adhered to the Old Olive mat with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the inside of the card, I adhered a mat of Old Olive with Liquid Glue after sponging this with Soft Suede and my trusty Stampin’ Sponge. On a panel of Crumb Cake, I stamped the Very Vintage flowers and sentiment in Versamark Ink, then heat embossed them in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it.

5

I used one of the dies from the Delicate Lace Edgelits to cut the bottom of the Crumb Cake panel to coordinate with the lace on the front of the card. More sponging with Soft Suede ages this panel, which was then adhered to the mat with Liquid Glue.

To finish the front, I attached a wooden butterfly (also sponged with Soft Suede) with a Glue Dot and this card is finished.

The Whisper White Medium Envelope has a Soft Suede floral image from Very Vintage on the front, and more stamped, distressed, and sponged Sheet Music on the flap. The sheet music stamp isn’t wide enough, as it turns out, to cover the flap, so I put it sideways. It was either that, or make a new piece, and I didn’t have time to do that. Next time I will remember to stamp the image side by side using the Stamparatus for placement., I am ok with it sideways. To me, the important thing is the distressing.

Stampin’ Up! Southern Serenade Birthday

Good Friday morning to you all! It is a pretty day today here in the heartland. What a Blessing God has given us. We have had a week of glorious weather, though it is warmer today than I prefer. My prayers go out for all those in the path of Florence…they are not having such a glorious day.

My card today is for a woman’s birthday, so I used the very feminine Southern Serenade stamp set. The sentiments are from At Home With You (front) and Beautiful You on the inside.

wild wing creations-4

I began by stamping the floral bouquet in the Southern Serenade set in StazOn Black on Whisper White. Using my Blender Pen and Blueberry Bushel stamp pad (squeezing the closed pad to get some ink in the lid), I colored in the flowers, then gave them a Daffodil Delight center with my Stampin’ Write Marker. The Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Write Marker filled in the leaves. I then used the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to emboss the whole panel before cutting it with the largest of the scalloped Layering Ovals Framelits.

This was adhered with Liquid Glue to a Blueberry Bushel oval cut with the largest plain one from Layering Ovals Framelits.

wild wing creations-1

My card base is Blueberry Bushel. A mat of Daffodil Delight was first embossed with the Swirls and Curls Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder. I wrapped a length of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around this and Liquid Glued it to the front. Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere the Oval to the yellow mat.

I stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel on a Whisper white scrap and used my Paper Snips to cut the ends. The Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Write Marker edged this piece nicely. It is attached over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A small Polka Dot Tulle bow is attached with a Glue Dot.

On the inside I stamped the sentiments from Beautiful You in Blueberry Bushel and flowers from Southern Serenade in StazOn Black in each corner. These were colored the same as the front. This liner was Liquid Glued to a Daffodil Delight mat and into the card base.

wild wing creations-5

For the envelope I used the Swirls and Curls embossing folder to do the flap and stamped the floral image from Southern Serenade in Blueberry Bushel on the front.

I hope you like this card. I think it very feminine. Please leave comments below.

Stampin’ Up! Serene Garden Anniversary for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Blog hop headerI hope you are all having a tremendous Thursday as you join us for the Thursday Blog Hop. Our challenge for today was color, and I think these are GREAT colors, especially when used together. Here are the colors for today’s challenge.

June 28 hop color challenge

Here is the card I created for it. It is a 5″ x 7″ card, so if you want a smaller one, adjust the card cuts accordingly.

wild wing creations-4

I began with a Mossy Meadow card base. Next up was to emboss the Very Vanilla with the Basketweave 3D Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder. I love this folder! It is so versatile and can be used with so many stamp sets.

I stamped the large design in the Serene Garden stamp set in Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla, colored the flowers with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker, and used my Blender Pen to add a bit of color to the leaves. I thought the flowers looked ‘flat’ so I went over the outer petals again with the Petal Pink marker. Then I fussy cut this image. Yes, you heard me, I fussy cut it, because I have not yet purchased the coordinating dies. Even if I had the dies, I would have still done some fussy cutting so more of my basketweave would show. YOU can save 10% by ordering both the stamps and the dies in a bundle.

I stamped the smaller corner leaves in Mossy Meadow (my new favorite green) and again used the blender pen to distribute some color. I also fussy cut these.

wild wing creations-1

The sentiment is from Special Celebrations and stamped in Versamark on Very Vanilla and heat embossed in Gold. Before stamping, I used my Embossing Buddy to go over the Very Vanilla so I wouldn’t get little bits of gold where I didn’t want them. I cut this with the third largest Layering Ovals die and adhered it to a Petal Pink Layering Ovals die. Before adhering I edged the VV oval with Versamark and dipped it in the Gold Emboss Powder, then heat set it. This layered oval was then Tear and Taped to a Gold Foil Sheets oval, just slightly larger than the scalloped pink one.

I did a dry fit and decided to do the inside before making the final adhesion. Good thing I did, too, as I dry fit the front to be a horizontal card, then made the inside vertical! I am sure none of you have ever done that! Since I hadn’t glued anything to the front, it was all ok, though I think I would have liked the horizontal layout better.

The inside sentiment is from the retired Number of Years and stamped in Mossy Meadow on Very Vanilla. I also edged this panel with my Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker. I used the retired stamp set because this is an anniversary card, and I have no other anniversary sentiment, at least that I could find.

The lovely dove in Serene Garden graces the inside in Petal Pink. The single stemmed flower is stamped in Mossy Meadow and the flower colored in Petal Pink. This panel was adhered to a Petal Pink mat and into the card base with Liquid Glue.

Back to the front and I was ready to put everything together when I noticed the horizonal/vertical mis-match. No problem, just make the whole thing vertical!

I Liquid Glued the fussy cut pieces to the basketweave. This panel was Tear and Taped to the Petal Pink mat. The Petal pink was also adhered to the Gold Foil Sheets (out of which I cut the center leaving a 3/4″ border) with Tear and Tape and the whole was glued to the card base with Liquid Glue.

wild wing creations-4

To finish the front I stuck MANY Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the layered ovals and wound some Gold Metallic Thread around then adhered it to the card front. The final touch was a single gold dot, but the label is missing, so I don’t know which embellishment it is. I think any bit of gold, or Petal Pink or Mossy Meadow would do.

The envelope was stamped on the front and flap with the same stamps as for the card, also in Mossy Meadow. The flowers on the front were colored with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker. I only used the corner stamp for the flap after waffling about whether to add flowers.

wild wing creations-2

wild wing creations-3

I really like this Serene Garden stamp set and will no doubt use it frequently.

Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop Sympathy

Blog hop headerYou know how it is. Some days you have it, some days you don’t. One day the creative juices just seem to flow and you could create all day. Other days, like today, it is like the creativity is frozen, and nothing moves! Today is one of THOSE days. I guess I could claim the cold weather has frozen my brain.

Regardless, today was a struggle. And, today is our blog hop, so, I HAVE to do a card. Our challenge was color, specifically Old Olive, Marina Mist and Whisper White. Not difficult at all, right? Well, for me it was today. I simply could not get a card that completely satisfied me.

april 5 challenge

I began with several ideas, none of which seemed to work. I actually started 3 different cards and none of them was  satisfactory. In the end, this is what you get.

wild wing creations-4

Thick Whisper White card stock is the card base with a mat of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. Next up is a dry embossed panel of Marina Mist using the Fluttering Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. After adhering these two panels together, I layered a strip of Old Olive Sheer Ribbon over a strip of Whisper White Organza Ribbon, wrapped it around the panels and taped it to the back. Liquid Glue adhered this combination to the card base.

I used the lovely Lots of Lavender stamp set that I got FREE during the Sale-A-Bration event, to stamp the flower on a panel of Whisper White. I first stamped the Marina Mist watercolor piece, then, with Memento Black, stamped the outline design. I finished it by using my Old Olive and Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Markers. I did use a little bit of Pear Pzazz to shade the leaves.

Again with Memento Black ink and the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, I stamped the sentiment. This panel was then cut with the largest oval in the Stitched Shapes Framelits set. The Old Olive mat was die cut with the largest scalloped Layering Ovals Framelits. Liquid Glue adhered these together and Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to attach this to the card front.

wild wing creations-1

As a finishing touch, I stamped the small butterfly from the Hold on to Hope bundle in Marina Mist and used the matching die to cut it out. A Mini Stampin’ Dimensional adhered it to the front of the card. Not my best effort, but it will have to do.

On the inside I repeated the design on the front, stamping it off once before stamping my Whisper White panel. The sentiment is from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set and stamped in Memento Black. This panel was liquid glued to a Marina Mist mat, then to a mat of the same Delightful Daisy DSP that is on the front, and into the card base.

wild wing creations-5

The envelope has another of the Lots of Lavender flowers on the front and a piece of the DSP finished the flap. I deliberately did a sloppy job on the leaves on the envelope and on the inside of the card. After doing the front art piece, I decided that if the flowers had a sort of watercolor look, the leaves should as well. Thus, I did not fully color them.

In spite of my struggles, I hope you enjoy this effort. If you didn’t happen to get the Lots of Lavender set before the Sale-A-Bration ended, Stampin’ Up has several floral stamp sets you could use just as well.

So, now, on with the hop! I am sure the rest of the team has gorgeous  offerings for you today. Just click on the ‘next’ button to go to Amy’s blog, or to ‘hop’ around, just click on any of the names to go to her blog.Blog hop next button

Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday with color challenge

Good Tuesday morning everyone. Well, I am even more thankful than usual as we finally had some rain yesterday (1″+) which we badly needed. However, it wasn’t a general rain and certainly not a drought breaker. More is predicted for today. It is a little late to do the cornfield much good for this year’s crop, but moisture in the ground over winter is a good thing. And I am sure it benefited my Hostas and the ponds around here.

Today’s card is following the MFT color challenge #75, which uses colors I like but seldom put together. So, it is truly a challenge.

MFT_ColorChallenge_PaintBook_75

My niece will be having a birthday soon and I think she will like these colors in a card. With that in mind I began pulling out my supplies, ultimately settling on Whisper White, Night of Navy, Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron, Emerald Envy and MORE of the Delightful Daisy DSP. I love this paper stack. There are so many options within it.

I began by cutting the card base from Night of Navy card stock as well as the largest scalloped circle from the Layering Circles framelits. Next is a Whisper White circle using the largest stitched circle from the Stitched Shapes framelits. These I liquid glued together and onto a Delicate White Doily. This will be the background for my birthday bouquet.

To highlight this and to incorporate another color of the challenge, I chose the coral color all-over design in the Delightful Daisy DSP pack. It is really more like Calypso Coral than Flirty Flamingo, but with the light and dark shading I think it works. I just thought the Calypso Coral card stock was too bright and had too much orange in it to work for this challenge, hence, the Flirty Flamingo. Liquid glue adhered this to the card base and the circle set is glued on top, offsetting it a bit.

front

To provide a background for my bouquet I stamped one of the tiny flower designs in the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set in Crumb Cake onto the Whisper White circle. Then, I used the dies from the Bouquet Bunch framelits for all the flowers, stems and leaves in the bouquet. You can save 10% by purchasing these together in a bundle. Other than the inside sentiment, this bundle is all I used for this card.

Using Whisper White, Night of Navy and Flirty Flamingo, I die cut a variety of flowers. The stems and leaves were all die cut from Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy. I dry arranged these two or three times until I achieved a reasonably good looking bouquet, then proceeded to adhere them to the circle, layering as I would an actual floral bouquet.

I know there are really no Navy flowers, but there are some pretty blue ones. And, the challenge said Navy, so we have Navy flowers. Besides, card making is a creative endeavor, so I ‘created’ a new color flower! The large flowers looked a little plain so I went back and stamped them in stamped off twice Calypso Coral, and stamped off once Night of Navy. Much better looking flowers were achieved by doing this.

My greeting, also from the Beautiful Bouquet set, is stamped in Night of Navy on a scrap of Whisper White. With my Paper Snips I cut the flag end, leaving the other end straight. This was liquid glued over the stems and Stampin’ Dimnsionals were used on the outer end to prevent collapse.

detail

Using Linen Thread, I made a multi-layered bow and used a couple of Glue Dots to stick it to the bouquet as though the bouquet is tied together with the thread.

HMMM. Something is lacking. It needed a couple more small flowers, so I stamped them in Crumb Cake on Mint Macaron and added them to the bouquet. OK, enough texture in the flowers, and enough flowers. But none of them have centers.

I thought the best fix for that issue was to use Pearls Basic Jewels in different sizes. Perfect! I love this look. It is pretty and feminine without being ‘over the top’ feminine.

For the inside, I used a mat from the same DSP as on the front, choosing a portion of the paper that was a bit lighter. The Sentiment stamps are from the Special Celebrations set, inked in Mint Macaron and Night of Navy with my Stampin’ Write markers and stamped on Whisper White.

inside

To dress it up a bit and replicate the lacey look of the Delicate White Doily, I used a corner punch then liquid glued this sentiment panel to the DSP and the card is finished!

Using the same stamp set I stamped a few flowers on the front of the envelope in stamped of once or twice Calypso Coral ink as I do not have Flirty Flamingo, and the stems and leaves in Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy. More of the Delightful Daisy DSP was liquid glued to the flap.

I think it turned out well. Products and card cuts used are below.

Pastel Butterflies

Good Monday morning All! I trust this will be a good week for everyone. We have been having a few days of really nice weather, for which I am grateful. I am not a big fan of hot, humid weather, so have been looking forward to fall. It feels like fall is in the air with the crickets chirping, cicadas humming, and my wrens gone. I heard the last one middle of last week, so they are on their way to wherever they go for the winter. I miss their cheerful song already.

Today’s card has NOTHING to do with fall, however, as I am following the Fusion Card Challenge. You can use the sketch, or the photo for inspiration, or both. I have chosen to use both. I like the curvy element and the pastels, though I turned it on it’s side as you will see.Fusion Template-001

I began by changing my mind several times, just because I could. The easy part was choosing the pastels: Mint Macaron, Pink Pirouette, Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron and Soft Sky, along with Whisper White and some of that luscious Delightful Daisy DSP.

The curvy part was no problem either as I had purchased a set of dies from Scrapbooking Made Simple that are called the Flip Side. The bundle includes two vertical and two horizontal sets of about 5 dies each. I only used two dies from one of the horizontal sets. Love it! One made such a pretty curved base, and the other cut out the upper portion of the panel, allowing the pretty DSP to shine.front

The first order of business after the work of choosing the colors and dies I would use was to cut the Mint Macaron for my base, which was liquid glued to the Delightful Daisy DSP. If using a directional DSP (this one has flowers growing, so don’t put them upside down!) be sure to cut in the direction you want. I then cut all the pretty butterflies. The large one and the Soft Sky butterfly are from the Butterflies Thinlits, while the two detailed ones are from the Bold Butterflies framelits. After cutting them I wanted a little tiny bit of bling, so I sprayed them with Imagine Crafts Sheer Shimmer Spritz for just a dab of glimmer.

I stamped the sentiment in Soft Sky with a stamp from That’s the Tag on the solid one, but it just didn’t look right. So, I tried just running it part way through the Big Shot with the detailed die, turning it several times to get the outer wings cut out while leaving (most) of the center part solid. That worked pretty well so I left it at that.

As I dry arranged everything I just wasn’t satisfied with the look, so each of the butterflies is backed with Vellum, which, I think, is much better. Each butterfly is bent at the edge of the body to give some lift to the wings. Glue Dots along the bodies adhered them to the base. Before attaching them to the panel though, I liquid glued that panel to the Whisper White card base. The butterflies were then added and each received some embellishment. The two smaller ones each got a matching Glitter Enamel Dot, while the bigger one got Pearl Basic Jewels along the body.

detail

The inside sentiment from Window Shopping, was stamped in Soft Sky on a panel of Whisper White. The center part was blocked off with a Post It Note before inking, then removed. The little flowers are randomly stamped from the That’s the Tag set. I used Stamp ‘n Write markers in Wisteria Wonder, Pink Pirouette and So Saffron to ink the flowers and Mint Macaron for the leaves.

insideThe Mint Macaron mat backs the Delightful Daisy DSP, over which the sentiment panel is adhered. All are glued with liquid glue and adhered to the card base. This pretty pastel card is finished. Again, if you use a directional DSP, be sure it is cut the right way.

The envelope received a die cut butterfly from the DSP on the front, and a flap of the same gorgeous paper.

I hope you enjoyed this post.  Card cuts and products used for this card are below.

Stampin’ Up! Colorful Seasons

Welcome and a Tremendous Thursday to you all. I am not from the south so I can’t say y’all. Maybe I should just say ‘to you’ and leave it there? 🙂

Today I am using the Colorful Seasons stamp set, and thinking, “I could make dozens of cards with just this one stamp set. There are wonderful elements in it, including leaves, flowers, snowflakes, branches, sentiments and a comfy chair.card front

Then there are the lovely flowers, and that delicate branch from the Seasonal Layers thinlits. And, my favorite, the marvelous Adirondack chair, of which I actually have 2 real ones, where I love to sit outside with my coffee in the mornings and watch the birds.

If you don’t have this bundle it is one you will want on your wish list. If you purchase the bundle you will save 10% of the cost of buying them individually. But, I digress! Happens a lot with me. On with the card.

Today I have chosen to use this bundle just because I love it and for no other reason. This is the third iteration of this card as I couldn’t seem to get what I wanted in the beginning.

The card base is crumb cake, with a skewed mat of Early Espresso. These are not the colors with which I began the project, but I do like these with the Powder Pink. After cutting the base and the mat I decided that a color wash on watercolor paper would make a nice background for my chair and the branches filled with blossoms.card front

Using Powder Pink Stampin’ pad and a Stampin’ Sponge (cut into 4ths) I began the wash on a piece of WET watercolor paper. The first one looked too dark, so I started over and like this much better. A light touch is a good thing…you can always add more ink if it is too light, but you can’t take it away easily if it is too dark.

I let this dry while I proceeded with the other elements. I now have a whole lawn full of Adirondack chairs, as I experimented with different colors of card stock and ink. Finally settling on Whisper White cardstock and Sahara Sand ink to make the wood grain, I used the background stamp, Hardwood, to make the wood for the chair. Just FYI, I have a Powder Pink chair, Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake, all with the wood grain, as well as a couple cut from the Wood Textures DSP. I have saved all of these for future projects.

By now, the watercolor paper is DRY!, so, on with the card front. Place the chair where it leaves room for the flower branches and adhere with liquid glue. Using the smallest branch in the Colorful Seasons set, stamp 2 branches in Early Espresso. The stamp that is a grouping of flowers and petals was used with Powder Pink ink for the flowers, carefully lining up the flowers with the branch.detail

Next I used the large branch die from Seasonal Layers, cutting three of them from Early Espresso. This is such a delicate branch that I really didn’t want to cut teeny tiny pieces of dimensionals to give it some lift. The best option seemed to be to cut 3 and glue them one on top of the other to achieve dimension. Before adhering this to the watercolor piece, I decided it was a good time to attach the watercolor to the card front.

My reasoning was that I wanted the large branch to hang over the whole front and it was easier for everything to be attached to help with placement. Once the branch is on, it is time for more texture, so I added die cut flowers, stamped in Powder Pink on Whisper White cardstock.

Placing them in my hand, I used the blunt end of a stylus tool to smoosh (is that a word?) them a bit to look more like flowers might actually look. These were attached to the branch with Glue Dots.

The sentiment is also from the Colorful Seasons set and is stamped in Early Espresso. Something seemed to be lacking, so I thought perhaps a bird, a bee or a butterfly would be the finishing touch. I found this small bird as part of an old stamp and stamped it in Marina Mist. Using a blender pen and ink in the stamp lid, I filled in the bird outline. He is carrying a pink flower in his yellow bill, both filled in with Stampin’ Write markers in Powder Pink and Daffodil Yellow.

The card front is done.

Hold Everything! After I was finished and photos were done as well, I decided to add a small Pearl Basic Jewels to the center of each of the 3 larger flowers, giving the card just a bit of bling. Use your imagination here as I did not re-take the photos.

The inside sentiment, in Early Espresso,is from the Oh So Eclectic set and stamped on the Powder Pink sheet, along with the branches. Using the same flower stamp as on the front, I stamped a few flowers in full strength Powder Pink, adding a few at the bottom.inside

This was glued onto an Early Espresso mat and into the card base.

The envelope received the stamping treatment as well, both on the front, envelope frontAnd on the flap.envelope flapI hope you like this Colorful Seasons set and its matching dies as much as I do. Thank you for stopping by. Please join me again tomorrow for another Stampin’ Up! card.
