Morning everyone! Here it is Thursday again and time for another Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. Come on along to see what creations our team has for you today.
Today our challenge is color. Here is what we are using
and here is the card I made using those colors.
I began with a Whisper White panel which I dry embossed with the large detailed poinsettia from Detailed Poinsettia Thinlits, (part of the Peaceful Poinsettia Bundle) using the Big Shot Embossing Mats. Having done that to know where to place my sentiment, I stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Poinsettia in Garden Green.
The thinlits and stamps can be purchased separately, but purchased together as a bundle will save you 10%.
The large poinsettia is stamped in Stazon Black on Whisper white and colored with my Poppy Parade and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers. The center of the poinsettia is colored with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Write Marker. This was cut with the corresponding die from Detailed Poinsettia.
The ends of a piece of Garden Green were punched with the Banner Triple Punch. I put some Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of this, then used Liquid Glue to adhered the poinsettia to this strip. The front was adhered to the Poppy Parade mat and onto the card base with Liquid Glue.
To dress up the front a bit, I used my Cherry Cobbler Blends Marker to color 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels and adhered them to the front. Front finished!
The inside sentiment, also from Peaceful Poinsettia was also stamped in Garden Green. The corners were cut using the pine and holly corner thinlits, which allows the Poppy Parade mat to show through.
Liquid Glue adhered the sentiment panel to the mat and into the Garden Green card base.
For the envelope, I again stamped the large poinsettia image with Stazon Black on the flap, then colored it the same as for the front of the card. The front has one of the corner holly designs on the two lower corners, also stamped in Stazon Black and colored with Garden Green and Poppy Parade. I neglected to get a photo of the front. My apologies.
This completes my project for today. I really like this stamp and die bundle. It is so very festive and I like the sentiments. Now, on with the hop! Just click the next button to see what creativity awaits you on Amy’s blog. If you prefer, just click on any name to go to her blog.
