Halloween Jack-o-lantern for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Here it is September already and the end of the year is looming! That means time is getting short for making those Christmas cards and gifts, and I think I will run out of it. Time that is. But first, we have Halloween and then Thanksgiving.

It is already the second Tuesday and time for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew to hop! Amy’s challenge for the team blog hop today is Halloween fun. What could be more fun that a scary Jack-o-lantern?

I recently purchased a really cool Jack-o-lantern die and had to make a card with it.

My card base is Stampin’ Up!s new Gorgeous Grape. The Jack-o-lantern is Pumpkin Pie over Basic Black.

No stamping. No sentiment. The spooky face says it all!

Inside I used letters from the same company to say ‘Happy Halloween’. I think these would be great cut in fabric and ironed on to a bag for carrying treats. The spider, ghost and bat are part of the alphabet set.

(The spider sits on the Jack-o-lantern on the front of the card.) The letters are in Pumpkin Pie, and the critters are what you would expect, Basic Black and Whisper White.

I haven’t decided what to put on the envelope, probably a black cat on the front and pumpkins on the flap. After all, Halloween isn’t for a few more weeks and I have time to decide. Although, the old adage, “Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today” is appropriate here.

This card was very quick and easy to make.
