Stampin’ Up! Thank You

I don’t know what happened to May, but it is very nearly gone. So, too, is the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog, nearly gone. Just a reminder that if you want anything from this catalog you  better hurry, because come midnight Thursday your opportunity will be lost.

The good news is that several items are carrying over into the NEW 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, and all the carry-overs plus all the new goodies will be available June 1. How exciting! And so many gorgeous new colors.

I was disappointed to hear that some of the colors I really like are going away, but that disappointment didn’t last long. As soon as I saw the ones replacing my favs, the excitement began. WOW! SU! has done an amazing color re-vamp. You, too, will love them. Now, on with today’s offering.

Today’s card is a very simple thank you card, and who doesn’t need a lot of these??

I used the Petal Palette/Petals and More bundle for this card, as well as some Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, both of which are carrying over into the new catalog. HOWEVER, the bundle will no longer be available, so if you want this set I would suggest you order before Thursday night to get a 10% discount.

I began with a piece of Early Espresso card stock for my card base. All the rest of the paper is from the Wood Textures DSP. I ran a dark grained panel through the Big Shot in the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder. I cut a panel the same size as the front of the card and used Tear and Tape to adhere it to the card base.

Over this went a panel of the white-washed Wood Textures, adhered with Liquid Glue. I used the trimmings from the larger embossed piece to make the strips. Over the strips is a branch die cut from the Petals and More thinlits.  It is also Wood Textures, but one of the finer grained, yellower panels. I also used the same ‘wood’ on the envelope flap. The strips and branch are adhered with Liquid Glue.

The sentiment is from One Big Meaning and is stamped in Early Espresso. I taped off the part of the stamp that I didn’t want, leaving just Thank You. This set will no longer be available after Thursday.

For the inside, I stamped the small leaf cluster from Love You Still, (which is retiring also) in each corner of another panel of the white-washed ‘wood’ with Crushed Curry ink. The sentiment, from All Things Thanks, which is carrying over to the new catalog, is stamped in Early Espresso. Both colors remain in the re-vamped colors. This panel was adhered to the card base with Liquid Glue.

The front of the envelope is stamped with the branch from Petal Palette in Crushed Curry, and the flap has more of the same lighter toned Wood Textures DSP as the branch on the front of the card.
