Same Old Story

I have missed several days of blogging. I have missed making cards. The card I started a week ago is still on my craft table.

Those who know me well, know I have a tendency to bite off more than I can chew sometimes. It really isn’t my fault. When I said 3 months ago that I would host our Garden Club and plan an outing, I had no idea it would be the same week as three other time intensive events. Then, throw in tomatoes to can, posters I promised another group, and you begin to see how my life is OUT OF CONTROL!!!!

There are several promotions going on in Stampin’ Up! that you need to know about. They are below. If you choose to order, I would be happy to have you order from me. Please let me know if you have questions.

By Monday, things should be back to their normal level of chaos instead of this explosion of time crunch events, and I should, repeat SHOULD, be able to make cards and do a few other things that really need doing around here. Then, to top it off, some brilliant soul made it a point to tell me that there are only 11 more Sundays until Christmas! Well, let me tell you, that was not good news.

My intent has been all year to make something for everyone in my family. Some things are done, some are in progress, some are only thought about.

When I said, “Back to normal chaos”, I really meant that. We are coming into our busy season at the McElhinney House, click here to learn more, and as a board member and immediate past president of the Fairfield Women’s Club who maintains the house, I will be plenty busy. And, it is my turn to host the Johnston family Christmas, which I have yet to organize. That HAS to get done next week! I could go on, but you get the drift. Sometimes I think I must be some sort of crazy to think I could add a daily blog to my list of ‘To Do’! I hope you all understand.

Thank you for following, taking the time to read, what sometimes I think must surely be nonsense, to comment, or to like something I have done. It all means a lot to me, as do the friendships that have grown from this venture.

I only tell you all this so you don’t think I have fallen off the face of the earth.

Have a great weekend, everyone. Long weekend for some of you, thanks to Christopher Columbus who, “in 14 hundred 92, Columbus sailed the ocean blue” as the saying goes, and wound up in the NEW WORLD. So you can have a three day weekend, we celebrate that on Monday instead of the traditional October 12. (Who picked that date anyway? Did he actually find land on that date? My history is fuzzy and I DO NOT have time to look it up!)

Ta-da!
