Stampin’ Up! Anniversary-again

Good Thursday to you all. It is a BEAUTIFUL autumn day here. For my part, it could stay this way for weeks. Several weeks! I have lots going on today, so let’s get with the card for today, shall we?

I took a page from the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop and chose to use their sketch for my anniversary card today. Here is the sketch they used.

Sept-28

I liked their sketch and the cards they made, so I thought I would CAS the sketch. Here is the card I made.wild wing creations4

I began by deciding to do another monochromatic scheme with Very Vanilla and white with the addition of the Champagne Foil Sheets and Sahara Sand ink for the inside sentiment.

The Champagne Foil Sheets mat has the center cut out of it to save on that paper. I leave a 1/2″ border onto which I adhere the top layer. The smaller cut out piece is large enough to mat something else, or from which to cut banners, labels or whatever.

The Very Vanilla panel on the Champagne Foil was dry embossed with the Softly Falling  Textured Impressions Embossing folder and adhered to the foil mat with liquid glue.

Centered on this piece is one of the Foil Snowflakes embellishments from the Year of Cheer Suite. Only I did not want the foil side up, so I turned it over and used the ivory side.

Next, I punched a strip of Vellum on both ends with the Triple Banner Punch. The next thing I did was cut apart (yep, I’m getting pretty good with scissors!) the I LOVE YOU sentiment from the Sealed With Love (retired) stamp set so I could just use the LOVE portion. (That is love portion, not love potion!) I randomly stamped LOVE all over the Vellum banner in Versamark and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder. Using a couple strips of Tear & Tape that would be hidden by the label, I adhered it to the upside-down snowflake.wild wing creations6

I took a 3/8″ wide piece of ivory ribbon and wrapped it around my layered panel over the Vellum banner and taped it to the back. This was adhered to the card base with liquid glue.

Using the White Embossing Powder again and the Versamark ink (don’t forget to use your Embossing Buddy) I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment from the Special Celebrations stamp set on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I used the Everyday Label punch to punch out the sentiment label as well as one in Champagne Foil (from the cut out center of the foil panel). The foil one was cut in half vertically and liquid glued to the back of the Very Vanilla label acting as a mat.

This finishes the front of the card. For the inside I took another Foil Snowflake and cut it into quarters, gluing one quarter to the lower right side of my inner liner and one to the upper left corner. Again I reversed the snowflake to use the ivory side.

I stamped the sentiment from Flourishing Phrases in Sahara Sand ink and liquid glued the panel to the card base.

This made a pretty quick and easy card that I think is very nice for an anniversary.

The envelope flap was dry embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder and the front has one of the quarter sections of snowflake liquid glued to the front.wild wing creations3
