Well, folks, I spent the day doing my patriotic duty by working at the election precinct for a special election today. Our representative passed away a couple of months ago and law requires a special election to be held within a given amount of time. Today was the day. I worked from 6 a.m. until about 20 minutes ago.
The polls closed at 9 and we had to close out everything, take down the signs, tally the votes, count the ballots, seal them and deliver everything to the county auditor’s office. I just got home at 10:30.
Consequently, I did not have time to finish the card I was doing for today’s post. To top it off, I can’t even give you a sneak peek for tomorrow as it is in my studio and not in the house. I refuse to go there tonight, even if it is a bright moonlight night. Frankly, I am tired, and hungry, and just want to curl up with my cat and a book.
So, nighty-night! I will post tomorrow. (Even though I have a 9 a.m. meeting, need to get the car serviced and a meeting at 5:45 p.m.) If you have read this far, GOOD for you! Thank you for stopping by.
