Since I am new at blogging and relatively new to paper crafting, perhaps all of you have heard of parchment craft, also called Pergamano. Not so me. I just heard a snippet about it over the weekend and it sounds fascinating.
Since I got home late last night I have done some research. This has been around for a couple of centuries, but of course with today’s technology and manufacturing/marketing capabilities, it is less time consuming and easier to learn than one might think. The term Pergamano is actually a brand name for the tools used in this craft, or art, depending on your definition of either.
With all that in mind, I made my first “down and dirty” or “quick and easy” Pergamano type card.
For the real deal, that is Parchment craft, using tools you may, or may not, have on hand, you basically need a pattern, some pencils or pen and ink, and various sized stylus’, similar to the one with your Stampin’ Up Simply Scored tool. To carry this to the ultimate level of perfection, you will also need at least one paper piercing tool. When I have a better handle on that process, I will make a card and share it with you. Suffice it to say, that it is a very beautiful, lacey, artistic technique, and I would dare to call it ART.
For now, the Down and Dirty will do. Here is a sneak peek of the card I made.
Tomorrow I will share with you how I did my very first ever attempt at this technique, so don’t expect perfection. Instead, take from it any ideas that you might, especially if you have never done anything like this before. I look forward to sharing with you tomorrow.
Wow! Looks phenomenal and can’t wait to see the finished product as well as your tips so I can learn this technique too! Thanks for sharing!

Well, it isn’t really new. Just new to me. Thanks. The problem with sneak peeks is that it builds expectations. I hope I don’t let anyone down!!
